Zinc is an especially popular material for countertops and range hoods. Zinc range hoods have a distinct look, often with a soft, sanded finish that will patina over time, with accents of chalky white mixed with darker grays. Zinc range hoods can be sealed to preserve the finish, or left unsealed to allow for a living patina to devleop over time. Zinc also makes a fabulous counter top material and can accept a variety of decorative edge finish work.
